He re-entered private practice in 1988. Jim’s expertise in insurance and tort law was recognized by the A.M. Best Company, which chose Jim to serve as the Colorado law editor of Best’s Directory of Recommended Insurance Attorneys. AM Best is a U.S.-based credit rating agency that focuses on the insurance industry.
Jim attended law school at Indiana University-Bloomington and at the University of Denver College of Law, where he graduated in 1980, and was on the Law Review. He passed the Bar Exam in 1980 (Colorado) and then Wyoming’s in 1981, where he started his career with a federal agency, the Tennessee Valley Authority. He then returned to Colorado and entered private practice, had a stint as General Counsel for an insurance company, and then returned to private practice, where he has been resolving his clients’ disputes since 1988 in Colorado and Wyoming.
Jim personally develops and supervises the development of each case he handles. This is not a volume personal injury law firm where you might feel ignored.
Jim is a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum which is one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States.
