An “easy” case (for example, think of a child being run over by a drunk driver) can be quickly settled by a rookie or inexperienced lawyer. There are not many of these easy cases. Anyone can settle an easy case (as compared to trying a less obvious case to a jury, to a verdict).

So, the lawyer you should hire for your own personal injury or insurance case is the one who has run the gauntlet and won jury trials, particularly in cases with an “unpopular” client where the deck was stacked against them, and cases where the opposing party was not a drunk driver and was otherwise presentable in court.

Jim Gigax has successfully represented unpopular parties such as illegal immigrants and insurance companies in jury trials, so your case, while still very challenging, won’t start with the opposition already two touchdowns ahead.

Jim helps people with injury and insurance cases in Colorado and Wyoming*.

The facts of your case can be brought to life by animations. In this case, a forensic engineering group was hired to study and “reconstruct” a catastrophic ski collision; the specialists even skied to the impact point, in ski season, and made detailed laser measurements using the Faro Laser Scanner http://www.faro.com/products/construction-bim-cim/faro-focus/

This animation was the result. It was used to help support the legal claim made on behalf of the person who had been wrongfully injured in the ski collision.

One of the skiers was a 63 year old dentist, his wife, and various friends and other skiers. The 19 year old skier struck the dentist’s head and shoulder, causing the dentist a closed head injury and a shoulder fracture. The impact also destabilized the cervical spine. Shoulder surgery and neck fusion followed. These serious injuries preluded this gentleman from continuing to practice dentistry. Jim Gigax went “all in” for his client and, despite facing stiff opposition, obtained a settlement of over $3,000,000.
